Buying products and services made in the United States, and doing business with the
companies whose operations remain here, has finally become fashionable.
Our retail centers may still be full of outlets offering cheap, foreign-made goods. But no longer trendy, these stores may be facing their personal armageddon.
When was the last time you spoke with customer service rep who did not sound like a
foreigner? For quite a while there has been a huge sucking sound heard in the direction of
India, China and the Philippines, as American tech, telecommunications, and other services are now frequently outsourced there.
According to CIO magazine, "depending on whom you ask, anywhere from one-half to two-thirds of all Fortune 500 companies
are already outsourcing to India."
Only Americans themselves have the ability to turn this horrifying trend around. If we are not willing to put our money where our mouth is, then our economy (and each of us) will experience the worst financial drought ever known to our citizens.
Whatever your reasons for making a change in your life,
do it now. One caveat.
